Some Other Places You Might Spend Some Time . . .
From now on, I'll connect the dots my own way. ~Bill Watterson
The Science Blog does a nice job of pointing out new studies in a wide variety of fields.
For a debunking and mythbusting science blog, try Anne's Anti-Quackery & Science Blog.
RealClimate specializes in news relating to Climate Science.
The American Journal of Bioethics web log. blog.bioethics.net.
Skepticality. www.skepticality.com This is my favorite podcast. A couple of friends in Atlanta take on hoaxes, old wives' tales, and common misconceptions. The interview with the gentleman who makes crop circles will be a classic.
Science Friday. NPR's Talk of the Nation with Ira Flatow does fantastic interviews and panels. I learn a ton listening to this.
ABC's The Science Show. It's also very interesting to get an Australian look at current topics in science.
PhD Comics at www.phdcomics.com. By Jorge Chaim. I especially like Cecilia's Blog.
All Over Coffee is published weekly in the SF Gate and is created by Paul Madonna. Beautiful San Francisco Bay Area scenery with thoughts and snippets of conversation.
Sinfest, by Tatsuya Ishida is another favorite. He does the stereotypically cat and dog personalities better than any other comic book artist I know.
Ctrl-Alt-Del. Gamer comic extraordinaire.
The Devil's Panties, by Jennie Breeden, is updated daily.
Harvard's Implicit Association Tests. A fine way to explore what baggage you might be carrying along with you.
Circlemakers. Crop circles as art.
ifeminists.com. Interesting articles on gender equality refereed by Wendy McElroy.
RebelDad. A thought-provoking blog by a stay-at-home dad. He also had a gender issues podcast for a while called SexTalk--interesting, but he doesn't seem to have time to update it very much.
